ARTCH is like hot-desking for creatives but with a bloody big desk!

We offer studios, big enough for 25-60 people (or a big piece of art, dance class, life drawing...)

It is a flex space with no long-term commitment required.

ARTCH is the brainchild of events creative (and Prestonian) Mark Walsh.

For several years Mark has been looking for the right space to launch this concept and has always had his eye on the Gradwell Street arches.

As soon as they became available he jumped at the chance to take on the tenancy and ARTCH was born...

Mark's a performer (The Pub Party), events professional (Xennial Group/Stage Door Inc), DJ and radio presenter (Rock FM/DFC), and was also the co-founder of BPM at the NEC in Birmingham, which was the biggest DJ Exhibition on the planet! He brings vast industry knowledge to this project.

ARTCH is not just about the space and studios.

ARTCH is about creating a community of creatives that can thrive together.

In the UK the arts are valued but severely underfunded, yet the benefits to creatives and audiences are priceless.

Mental health is improved through creativity, joy and laughter.

ARTCH is a safe space to allow inspirational creative people to be awesome!

Most studios are tatty, damp and underwhelming... Not ARTCH!

Our blank-canvas studios are all theatrically draped, lit beautifully (you can even choose the colour of the arch to match your mood!), fitted with nightclub-standard sound systems and have appropriate flooring for theatre and dance.
